With the closing of schools in late April and elsewhere in early May due to COVID 19, Enabling Support Foundation has been working tirelessly in the much needed updates of the Kusoma app which is used in 50+ schools in Kenya and Uganda.
“Each of the Kusoma app updates contains 50 words for a total of 200 most common words for Primary 3,” shares Dr Robert Zenhaursern, Founder and CEO of Enabling Support Foundation.
At a time when children have been learning at home due to the school closures, the parent as the educator uses the app to teach meaning of words. Learning is then tested when children start conversing on their own.
Together with Book Dash which is providing free books for early reading to children in Kenya and Uganda, Enabling Support Foundation hopes children continue learning the basics of education as schools await to re-open.
